I don’t know if I told you, but on July 18th of this year, Paul and I will be getting married! It’s almost a year ago Paul proposed (in a very original way I might add), and the year flew by.
We started with the first preparations at the end of July 2013. And now there are only 2 months and 16 days to go (not that I’m counting ;-))
I turned my creative urge to our wedding day, by doing a lot myself. Like for instance, our wedding invitations.
The upper is our invitation for our evening guests (the party), and the bottom one is for our guests who will also attend the ceremony, the reception and the dinner. Our theme color is all shades of blue. Because our wedding is in the middle of summer, we thought it would be a good idea to combine that with Paul’s birthplace Aruba.
So for the invitations I used a couple of pictures I took when we visited Paul’s family on Aruba a couple of years ago.
Our invitations were complete when we received our own personal stamps in the mail.
The divi divi tree on the beach in the stamp is a painting I created a couple of months ago. I will be adding more DIM (did it myself) wedding stuff to this post after our wedding. All I can say is, it’s a lot of fun doing things for your wedding by yourself. It makes a wedding much more personal to my opinion. 🙂
